Lunch with Dr. and Mrs. Lawless

Here we are (Matty is taking the photo) at the mountain home of Dr. and Mrs. Lawless. Mike Lawless was my mentor in North Carolina and the pediatrician that we used for the twins. He is an amazing man and I was very much looking forward to seeing him again. Dr. Lawless and his wife graciously (and bravely) invited all of us for a relaxing lunch at their cabin while we were in Blowing Rock. Mrs. Lawless' father built the home with his own hands from the ground up. We had a really nice time and it was great to catch up. Unfortunately for the pediatric world, Dr. Lawless is retiring this year. Having to leave Dr. Lawless was the only reason Matty was sad to move back to Arkansas. Fortunately, he will still be editing the test for the pediatric boards.
