Here you can see that Lila Jane and Millie are calm, cool and collected on their first plan ride. Despite crowd screaming turbulence, these little ones kept it together. In fact, Lila Jane slept all the way from Dallas to San Diego including a stop in El Paso along the way. No joke....she slept through the whole trip, turbulence and all.

You have got to love a Fourth of July parade where you need to wear a jacket!

Blowing Rock Fourth of July Parade

Every year Blowing Rock has a cute little parade on the fourth and turns into Mayberry for a day. Aunt Carol rented a pickup and let the kids decorate it with the theme "Bubble Blowing Rock". She made a boulder form out of screen and the kids used paper mache and paint to make it look like a rock. There was a bubble machine inside the rock and they put the whole thing on a pedastal inside the bed of the truck. It was very cute and all the young cousins had a great time. Unfortunately, about halfway through the parade the sky opened up for a tremendous downpour, but I think they still had a very memorable experience.

Millie rode this ride but Davis didn't even get in line. Corissa loved the ride as well and rode it once with mom and once with Uncle Daniel.
